All Police Stations In Kerala Will Be Child Friendly

All police stations in Kerala will be child friendly, children will be able to file complaints without fear.

The Kerala Police has taken the initiative to make existing police stations ‘child friendly’. The aim is to create an environment for children where they can file complaints without any fear.

Kerala’s Director General of Police Loknath Behera on Saturday inaugurated ‘Child Friendly’ centers in 15 police station of the state.

Behera said that Kerala Police is trying to create an environment where children can come to register complaints without any fear. Other senior police officers also participated in the event through video conferencing.

The concept of a ‘child-friendly’ police station was introduced in 2006 with the aim of appeasing children who come to police stations with their families for various purposes.

Such centers will help children and others understand the functioning of police stations and the work of police officers.

At present, 85 police stations in the state have such ‘child friendly’ centers. The state police chief said the system would be implemented in 12 more police stations within three months.

He said that Kerala Police aims to start child friendly centers in all police stations.

The DGP has commissioned Cheyadamangalam in Kollam district, Pathanapuram, Zone in Kollam district, Infopark police station, Cyber ​​police station.
