AIADMK Staged A Walkout Of The Tamil Nadu Assembly

AIADMK staged a walkout of the assembly in protest against the lapse in the security of the governor.

The opposition AIADMK on Wednesday walked out of the Assembly alleging a lapse in the security of Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi.

The party said that when the governor was on a visit to Malayaduthurai, people demonstrated with black flags, a lapse in his security.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister MK Stalin clarified that not a speck of dust fell on the Governor during the protest.

AIADMK is trying to do politics, which will not bear fruit. Leader of the Opposition K. Palaniswami and deputy leader O. Panneerselvam led the exit.

AIADMK staged a walkout: Palaniswami alleged that the state’s intelligence and the home department had miserably failed to ensure the governor’s security.

He said that the Home Department and the Chief Minister should take strict action against those who lapse in discharging their duties.

Stalin hit back at the AIADMK, reminding him of the attack on Governor Chenna Reddy during its rule in the ninth decade of the last century.

He also said that then even a resolution was passed in the assembly to send Reddy back.

Stalin also reminded the AIADMK of the mistreatment of former bureaucrats and Rajya Sabha member Subramanian Swamy during their regime.

It is noteworthy that activists of parties like Viduthalai Chiruthigal Katchi (VCK), CPI, and CPI(M) staged a demonstration showing black flags to the governor in Malayaduthurai on Tuesday.

They also threw flags at the convoy of the Governor.

They were protesting against the non-forwarding of a bill unanimously passed by the Tamil Nadu Assembly for exemption from the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET).

Significantly, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin had visited Delhi. During this, he saw the model of school education in Delhi and praised it. Apart from this, he also visited Mohalla Clinic.
