AIADMK leader VK Sasikala took renunciation from politics. Big political upset in Tamil Nadu, Jayalalithaa’s close Sasikala took renunciation from politics, this appeal to people.
A big political upsurge has come to light amidst the start of campaigning for the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. The expelled AIADMK leader VK Sasikala on Wednesday announced to stay away from politics.
Sasikala issued a statement saying that she was leaving politics. She, however, requested the AIADMK workers to remain united in the upcoming assembly elections and ensure the defeat of the rival party DMK.
Sasikala also said that I will work for the good of the people, following the path of Amma (Jayalalithaa). In a statement, Sasikala said that she has distanced herself from politics and prays for Jayalalithaa’s golden rule.
She said that she would always pray for Jayalalithaa’s dreams to be fulfilled. Sasikala said that she has neither the craving for the post nor the rights.
She said, ‘We must work hard to ensure that the DMK does not come to power. I am thankful to the activists and people of Tamil Nadu who gave me due respect and affection.
Sasikala said that I would like to spend my life fulfilling Jayalalithaa’s dreams. He urged the activists of the AIADMK to unite in the assembly elections and said that we all have to ensure that MGR continues to rule in Tamil Nadu.
Amma (Jayalalithaa) said that the DMK and its allies are evil forces that must be worked to defeat them. I want to stay away from politics but pray that once again Amma comes to rule in the state.
It is known that Sasikala was released from jail on January 27 this year after serving a four-year sentence in a corruption case.
It was believed that after coming out of jail in case of disproportionate assets, she will come into Tamil Nadu politics and handle Jayalalithaa’s legacy. Sasikala has been considered a major influence in Tamil Nadu politics.
Her release triggered a period of political speculation in Tamil Nadu, but now his resignation is expected to create a new political equation in the state.
Let me tell you that till now AIADMK has been refusing to accommodate Sasikala and her nephew TTV Dinakaran-led AMMK in the party or alliance with it.
Tamil Nadu will go to the polls from April 6, while votes will be counted on May 2. The Assembly has 234 seats in Tamil Nadu. In the current assembly, the AIADMK has 136 MLAs.
DMK has 89 MLAs. The Congress has seven seats while the Indian Muslim League has five seats. The current term of the State Legislative Assembly ends on 24 May 2021.
