Abu Azmi Puts Another Demand With 5% Muslim Reservation

Abu Azmi puts another demand with a 5% Muslim reservation, which may increase difficulties for the Maharashtra govt. The troubles of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra may increase.

Samajwadi Party leader Abu Azmi, a partner in the grand alliance, asked the state government to bring a resolution against the CAA-NRC in the Assembly session, as well as the law on 5% Muslim reservation.

He has demanded a law on a 5% Muslim reservation be passed. He said that if his demands are not met then he will take to the streets against the state government.

Significantly, Shiv Sena Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, known for Hindutva politics, has also demanded the Samajwadi Party to bring a resolution against the CAA and NRC with a 5 percent reservation for Muslims.

He says that if this does not happen then we will protest in the streets against the government.

Abu Azmi says that the High Court has demanded a 5 percent reservation for Muslims in the field of education. We had demanded Muslim reservation even during the rule of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the state.

The Mahavikas Aghadi government seems to have forgotten it.

Samajwadi Party leader Abu Azmi said, “I question the Congress and the NCP that when they were in the opposition, they used to speak a lot against it, but why no action is being taken on what happened now.”

Leader Abu Azmi said, “We demand the Chief Minister of the state Uddhav Thackeray and Deputy CM Ajit Pawar to propose a motion against the CAA, NRC and announce 5 percent Muslim reservation in this session.”

Otherwise, we will demonstrate it on the streets. Explain that till now the proposal has been passed against CAA and NRC in 13 states.
