Ingredients for making Cauliflower Peas Masala
- Cauliflower: 400 grams (cut into small florets).
- Green peas: 1 cup (fresh or frozen).
- Onion: 1 large (finely chopped).
- Tomatoes: 2 (finely chopped).
- Ginger: 1-inch piece (grated).
- Green chilies: 2 (finely chopped).
- Garlic: 4-5 cloves (finely chopped).
- Cumin seeds: 1/2 teaspoon.
- Asafoetida: 1 pinch.
- Turmeric powder: 1/4 teaspoon.
- Coriander powder: 1 teaspoon.
- Red chili powder: 1/2 teaspoon (to taste).
- Garam masala: 1/4 teaspoon.
- Coriander leaves: 2-3 tablespoons (finely chopped).
- Oil: 2-3 tablespoons.
- Salt: to taste.
Delicious Gobhi Matar Masala Recipe: Method of making Cauliflower Peas Masala
- First of all, wash the cauliflower and cut it into small florets. Wash the green peas. Finely chop onion, tomato, ginger, green chili, and garlic.
- Now add chopped tomato, ginger, green chili, and garlic to a mixer and grind it. Make a smooth paste.
- After this, heat the oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them crackle. Then add asafoetida. Add chopped onion and fry till it turns golden.
- At the point when the onion becomes golden, add the masala glue and sear well. Blend in the red stew powder, coriander powder, and turmeric powder.
- Now add cauliflower and green peas and mix well. Fry for 2-3 minutes.
- After that, add 1 cup of water and salt to taste. Cover the pan and cook on a medium flame for 10-12 minutes or until the vegetables become soft.
- Then just turn off the gas,s add garam masala and coriander leaves, es and mix. Serve with hot roti, paratha, or rice.
Special Tips
- You can also add other vegetables like carrots, corn, etc., as per your choice.
- If you like a thicker curry, then you can add a little cream or curd.
- To enhance the taste, you can also add some dried fenugreek leaves.
