India Should Also Be Involved In Afghanistan Peace Talks

India Should also be involved in Afghanistan peace talks.US Secretary of State bluntly said India should also be involved in Afghanistan peace talks.

US Secretary of State Antoine Blinken has written a letter to the President of Afghanistan, Ashraf Ghani, urging him to hold peace talks under the leadership of the United Nations.

In this, he has asked all six countries including India to join. Let me tell you that during the tenure of former President Donald Trump, India was not included in Afghanistan peace talks.

But it has been emphasized in the Biden administration that India should also be included in this. In this letter to President Ghani, he has said that Turkey has approached it to hold a meeting at a senior level in which the peace deal can be finalized.

For this, Turkey has appealed to the Afghan President that he should get the privilege of joining this meeting. Tolo News of Afghanistan has published this paper.

Accordingly, the United Nations should convene a meeting of foreign ministers of Russia, China, Pakistan, Iran, India, and the United States to find a way out with the consent of all for peace in Afghanistan.

It further states that American envoy Zalme Khalizad should speak to President Ghani and Taliban leaders and present written details.

The aim should be to carry forward peace talks in Afghanistan and further talk on ceasefire. Not only this, the talk of the peace process and peace agreement should be revealed.

According to the US Secretary of State, this document will pave the way for the development of Afghanistan between the Afghan government and the Taliban.

They have also proposed to reduce violence within 90 days and to start a round of diplomatic dialogue.

He has said in his letter that the US is considering the return of all its soldiers by 1 May. Apart from this, there are some other options.

He has also said that the United States is also considering providing financial assistance to Afghan soldiers to prepare for security in the event of the return of their troops.

The United States is also afraid that after the withdrawal of the US Army, the Taliban will not increase their strength again for terrorism. Therefore, it is necessary to consider it quickly and decide.

Let me tell you that in February 2020, former President Donald Trump had signed an agreement with the Taliban that called for the withdrawal of his army from Afghanistan.

But it also placed a condition that the Taliban would not support Al Qaeda to promote terrorism in Afghanistan and reduce violence.

Even after this, the Taliban did not reduce the attacks on the Afghan army. America has condemned it every time.

Let us tell you that on the Afghan peace talks, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and special US envoy for Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad also had a telephone conversation on Sunday.

During this period, many related issues were discussed, including the peace agreement between the Taliban and the Afghan government last year. Jaishankar has also tweeted about this. It is also said to remain in mutual contact.

Let me tell you that India is keeping a close watch on the emerging political situation in Afghanistan. The deal paved the way for the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan.
